Membership is open to anyone paying into or receiving a pension from Canada's Public Service, the RCMP or the Canadian Armed Forces, federally appointed judges and to honourably discharged non-pensioned veterans. A person eligible for membership in the National Association of Federal Retirees is eligible for membership in the branch. Membership of the York branch sits around 1000. We are always looking for new members and for volunteers. What other activities would you like us to become involved in? Would you like to see more social interaction outside of the two general meetings?
The branch board of directors is comprised of eight to 12 directors. Five of these director positions are key positions essential for the operation of the branch: president, vice-president, membership secretary, recording secretary and treasurer. For positions other than that of president, the branch board will assign incumbents to these key positions as required.
