NPSW 2021: Federal Retirees remembers

June 18, 2021
Federal Retirees honours members who have passed away.
On the last working day of National Public Service Week, Canada’s national flag flies at half-mast at the Association’s national office in memory of Federal Retirees members who have passed away.

In 2018, the National Association of Federal Retirees began a new tradition of lowering our flag on the last working day of National Public Service Week in memory of Federal Retirees members, and all public servants, who have passed away.

On behalf of the Federal Retirees community, we would like to express our heartfelt thanks to Canada’s public servants as well as members of the Canadian Armed Forces and RCMP for their extraordinary service to all Canadians during the pandemic. Sadly, our Association, like others, has lost members to COVID-19 and we offer our sympathies and support to their survivors, families and friends as we honour the passing of former Association members and non-members alike. We hope you’ll join us in taking a moment today to honour them and reflect on their important contributions throughout their careers.
