PSHCP renewal
Improvements to the Public Service Health Care Plan (PSHCP) have been a top priority for the National Association of Federal Retirees. Federal Retirees’ President, Roy Goodall, represents pensioners on the Public Service Health Care Plan (PSHCP) Partners Committee. It also includes representatives from the public service unions and the Treasury Board Secretariat.
During the renewal, the Committee prepared joint recommendations on any plan changes for approval by the Treasury Board President. Throughout this process, Federal Retirees worked to keep members’ concerns and needs at the forefront of discussions and to focus on balancing gains and plan affordability.
It’s official! On Sept. 26, 2022, Treasury Board president Mona Fortier approved the PSHCP renewal with new benefits starting July 1, 2023. Members should rest assured that plan changes will be communicated clearly and with advance notice.
