Fall Membership Drive, And General Meeting

Your Board of Directors were hoping to use the Royal Canadian Legion in Streetsville as our new meeting location. However after some research, this venue would have required much more responsibility and the real need for volunteers, in order to meet additional requirements, that this branch has not had to deal with in the past. For example, the use of paper plates & plastic cutlery. The purchase & storage of tablecloths, and a large cooler. Volunteers would have been needed for picking up coffee/tea, and ice, and for help with the event clean-up. As this branch currently has no volunteers, we found our selves in a position, that we could not have physically undertaken a General Meeting at this venue. On a positive note, the people at the Streetsville Legion were very nice and helpful, the room was nice, and their room rental was very nicely priced. That is why we have had to make a major change in our event location. For our Fall event, we have chosen Sheridan College.

Our members & non-members will have a choice from the following menu, please let us know in advance, which meal choice you would prefer. (1) Chicken Cordon Bleu, (2) Butter Chicken, (3) Braised Beef. (4) Our Vegetarian option will be BBQ Tofu. Coffee & tea will be available.

The Sheridan College Conference Center is located at 1400 Trafalgar Road. The facility features free parking, Public transit is available via Oakville Transit Route #1, or via Go Bus Route 56, departing from the Erin Mills Transit way in Mississauga. Directions: enter the College at Ceremonial drive, just off of Trafalgar Road.
