Meeting information

The Niagara Peninsula Branch executive team would like to thank all of you for attending and participating in our meetings this past season. We hope that you are enjoying a wonderful summer and we look forward to seeing you in September. Here is a peek at the presenters we have planned for next season.

Our meetings are also recruitment events to ensure that our association and our branch continue to grow and thrive. Bring an eligible friend or family member. 

2025

  • Dec. 17: Christmas luncheon with guest speaker William Thomas, author and humourist.


2026

  • Jan. 21: Jacklynne Isaak from Alzheimer Society, Niagara region will give a presentation titled "Maintaining a Healthy Brain," which will cover the difference between normal aging vs. dementia, an overview of dementia and brain-healthy strategies to maintain good brain health.   
     
  • Feb. 18: Marcie Jacklin, a member of the Bert Miller Nature Club will give a presentation on “The History of Birdwatching in Niagara.” 
     
  • March 18: Carol Morningstar will speak on behalf of the Canadian Transplant Association.
     
  • April 15: Janet Oakes, curator of the Grimsby Museum, will speak about the history of museum creation and the link between all of the local Niagara history museums. She will also bring artifacts.
     
  • May 20: Adrian Verburgam and Rolly Meisel from the British Commonwealth Air Training Plan (BCATP), will discuss local airports and events from 1939 to 1945 along with background info from WWI leading up to WWII.
