Federal Retirees have long campaigned for federal leadership in the implementation of a National Seniors Strategy.
Now, with the report from the HUMA committee recommending dedicated resources for a strategy that includes a vision for aging in dignity, monitoring and sharing promising practices and the promotion of partnerships on areas such as transportation, social inclusion and accessing services, it is time to act. These recommendations and the committee’s support show there is a political will to finally move this initiative forward.
