Welcome to the Quebec Branch of the National Association of Federal Retirees!
I am pleased to accept the position of Chair of the Quebec Branch effective January 23, 2026, until the next AGM on April 10, when elections will be held. I accept this position with appreciation for the tremendous collaboration and expertise of my fellow volunteers on the Board of Directors.
The branch has 6,600 members residing in the Quebec-Lévis metropolitan area, the greater Chaudière-Appalaches region, the Bas-Saint-Laurent-Gaspésie, as far as the Iles-de-la-Madeleine, and from Saguenay-Lac-Saint-Jean to Blanc-Sablon.
We pride ourselves on having a strong and distinct voice on issues that are of particular concern to us, such as preserving gains and promoting better policies on retirement income security, a better framework for veterans, and a universal, public drug insurance program.
We rely on the generosity of active volunteers on the board of directors, in our committees, in the Bas-St-Laurent-Gaspésie and Saguenay–Lac-Saint-Jean sub-branches, and in social and cultural activities. They are the backbone of the Section and a model of commitment for our members. Our volunteers deserve our admiration, pride, and gratitude.
We offer several national and local services, discounts and advantages through preferred partnerships and co-operations in several areas.
Do not hesitate to share the values of our association with your friends working for the federal government. It is not necessary to be retired to join our association. You can become a member now.
