About us
Our branch received its charter on February 22, 1980, when the Association was known as the Federal Superannuates National Association. Our branch serves members residing in the western part of the province. It extends from the US border to Lynn Lake in the north, and from the Saskatchewan border to just west of Highway #5, passing through communities such as Cypress River, Glenboro, Neepawa, and McCreary. Membership is automatically assigned based on your residential postal code.
The branch presently holds three membership meetings each year. The annual general meeting (AGM) is held in April. The other general membership meetings are normally held in October and January. The branch headquarters have historically been located in Brandon because the vast majority of our membership live within 50 kilometers of that city. We have members in over 40 communities throughout our branch region.
Volunteer leadership
We cannot thrive as a Branch without the support of our members and volunteers.
The operations of the branch are directed by our volunteer board of directors.
We are keen to advise members about Association initiatives, pension and benefit plans, and exclusive deals from preferred partners. We support good policy that improves the lives of all Canadians in retirement.
Come join us!
We are looking for new volunteers. Whether you can assist casually or part-time, every effort helps the branch engage existing members and recruit new ones. Become a "Friend of the Board" and assist with meetings or special events. You are welcome to "test the waters" as an observer at our board meetings. We appreciate any offers of assistance.
