Wednesday, Sept. 20, 2023 The speaker is Grant LaFleche who will talk to us about media literacy and how an investigative journalist develops a story. Lunch will feature a Greek salad, grilled chicken breast with mushroom sauce, Rice Pilaf and vegetables with chef’s choice for dessert.

Wednesday, Oct. 18, 2023 Scott Stevens and Ron McShane are back for another Wellness Wednesday this time featuring Preventing Falls. Lunch will be salad with house dressing, Shepherd’s Pie with strawberry mousse for dessert.

Wednesday, Nov. 15, 2023 This meeting will feature our Remembrance Ceremony led by Romeo Daley aided by our members who are veterans. Our speaker will be Tim Speed from the Canadian Warplanes Heritage Museum, Hamilton, who will talk to us about the Battle of Britain. Lunch will feature salad with Ranch and Italian dressing, Berry Stuffed Pork Loin, potatoes and other vegetables with Chef’s choice for dessert.

Wednesday, Dec. 20, 2023 It’s Christmas which means a traditional roast turkey lunch with all the traditional trimmings. Seasonal music will be provided by Carolyn Campbell and Ruth MacVicar, both are professional musicians who sing with Chorus Niagara.

Wednesday, Jan. 17, 2024 We’ll ring in the New Year with Lezlie Harper who will talk to us about Black History and Culture in Niagara. Lunch will feature Minestrone soup, Chicken Parmesan, penne pasta tossed in tomato sauce with Chef’s choice for dessert.

Wednesday, Feb. 21, 2024 We’ll host the NRP Fraud Squad who will talk to us about scams. Lunch will be Meat Lasagne with Chef’s choice for dessert.

Wednesday, March 20, 2024 We’re hoping to have Ted Barris back with us. We’ll keep you posted. Lunch will be soup of the day, grilled chicken breast with mushroom sauce, Rice Pilaf and vegetables with Chef’s choice for dessert.

Wednesday, April 17, 2024 This will be busy meeting. We’ll have an AGM and elections. We’ll relax with a speaker from the Owl Foundation which rescues owls. Lunch will feature salad with house dressing, Berry Stuffed Pork Loin, potatoes, vegetables with Chef’s choice for dessert.

Wednesday, May 15, 2024 We’ll close out our year of meetings with Michael Clarkson. We do not have a title for his presentation yet but judging from past experience he will keep us enthralled. Lunch will be roast beef, potatoes, vegetable medley with Chef’s Choice for dessert.

Please remember that if you tell your caller you will attend but then decide not to come without advising us by the Sunday before the lunch, the hotel obliges the branch to pay for your lunch.
